John Francis Merron, 81, a native of Pensacola, Fla., and a resident of Foley since 1959, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2007.
He began his career as an X-Ray technician at Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, Fla., and in 1959 began working at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center until his retirement as head of the Radiology Department and he was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and United States Navy.
Survivors include nephew, Keith B. Merron of Foley; sister-in-law, Maria A. Merron Bravo of Merida, Yuc. Mexico; several cousins; church family; many dear friends; and loyal companion, Cee Cee Ingram of Foley,
Graveside funeral services and burial will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14 at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Fla.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Community of Christ Church Youth Department, 18700 Florida, Street, Robertsdale, AL 36567 or to your place of worship or to your favorite charity.
