Merton David Middleton born Nov. 17, 1936 – Nov.13, 2012, age 75, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at Georgiana Nursing Facility in Georgiana, Ala.
He was born in Baldwin County and had been a resident of Monroeville for 50 years. Middleton worked as a senior research engineer with Vanity Fair for many years. He was a member of Mexia Baptist Church. Middleton was a veteran of the United States Army. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Gloria Robinson Middleton of Monroeville; his son, Darel Russ (LeAnn) Middleton of Evergreen; his daughter, Cindy Marie (Ronnie)Moye of Monroeville; five grandchildren, Michael Heath Moye, David Hunter (Stephanie) Moye, Dylan Russ Middleton, Jacob Ryan Middleton and Rachel Leighann Middleton; one great-grandchild, Rebecca Marie Moye and three sisters, Verba M. White, Nell M. Stewart and Faye M. Johnson, all of Bay Minette. Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne McMillian and the Rev. Jerry Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore. Visitation was held Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 at the funeral home.
