Michael Dennis LeRoy, 64, a native of Minneapolis, Minn., and four-year resident of Fairhope, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010.

He loved his family and friends and his generous heart was evident to all who knew him. Living on Mobile Bay was the realization of a dream. He enjoyed golfing and more recently loved his time in the pool at Homestead Village with special friends.

He served as a warrant officer in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 to 1968, and subsequently was a sales representative in various industries, retiring from BASF Corporation in 2005.

He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Fairhope and found great joy in being able to bring The Eucharist to the sick at Thomas Hospital on Sunday mornings.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie and father, Lyle Glenn LeRoy.

Survivors include his wife, Renee LeRoy of Fairhope; sister, Patty (Cecil) Garrett of Pensacola, Fla.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation begins at 10 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Fairhope. Interment will be held in Isanti, Minn.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Catholic Charities.
