Michael H. Horton, 51, a native of Washington D.C., and Baldwin County, and a resident of Robertsdale, died Monday, March 11, 2013.
He was the owner and operator of Horton Painting Company. He was active with and an officer of AA, enjoyed riding his motorcycle and hunting.
He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Ashley Austin. Survivors include his mother, Nancy Magnolia of Robertsdale; daughter, Wendy Sowell of Bonifay, Fla.; three sons, David Henson Jr. of Mobile, Timothy Henson of Foley and George Henson III of Mobile; three brothers, Bobby Doyle Sr. of Foley, Christopher Gibson of Robertsdale and Gary Doyle of Chesapeake, Md.; sister, Sharon Hitzelberg of John’s Island, S.C.; estranged wife, Donna Horton of Loxley; nine grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m. Friday, March 15 from the chapel of Mack Funeral Home.
