The Michigan Club held its farewell picnic at the Orange Beach Community Center on Thursday. The picnic was attended by 240 members who were entertained by Dr. Wayne Francisco before and during the meal.

Ann Arensmeier, Club Historian displayed the 2010 and 2011 scrapbooks for members to view. Members were asked to bring a dish to pass and the Club provided fried chicken from Winn Dixie.

After the meal and a time for visiting and more than 50 door prizes were given to the members. The summer picnics in Michigan were announced as follows: Waterford, July 28; St Johns, Aug. 3; and Traverse City, Aug. 17.  Members should check the Club website (www.michiganclubalabama.com) for the details. 

The first regular meeting for 2012 will be held on Jan. 5 at the Erie Meyer Center in Gulf Shores. Early Club registration for 2012 will be on Dec. 4, 11, and 18\.  Check the newspapers in the fall for times and location.
