The Michigan Club held its secnd meeting of the year on Jan. 19, 2012 at the Erie Meyer Center in Gulf Shores. It is estimated that 550 members were in attendance.

The membership committee reported 190 new members registered before the meeting making a total membership of 760 as of this date. The group was entertained prior to the start of the meeting with music by Dr. Wayne Francisco.

Slides taken by Ann Arensmeier of the 2011 Club meetings and activities were also presented.

Michigan’s ticket allotment for The Low Country Boil sold out in less than an hour.

During the meeting the group remembered members who had passed away in 2011.

The 2012 officers and work area/committee chairs were introduced and announcements were made about future activities. The group enjoyed entertainment by the 3 Grits.

The next meeting will be held on Thursday, Feb.2, 2012 and Cool Change will provide the entertainment.
