SPANISH FORT, Ala. — Mike Conner simply doesn’t have the words to express the feeling he gets when one of his students has a light-bulb moment and everything clicks.
“It’s definitely a stressful environment, but it makes it worth it when you see the results in the kids. It’s just one of those feelings you absolutely cannot explain,” he said.
Much like the experience for many of his special-education students, Conner’s road to the right place at the right time was full of starts and stops, but he never lost sight of his goal.
