Mike Roberts, 59, born in Atmore, and a resident of Aiea, HI., and formerly of Bay Minette, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2012, at Kaiser Medical Center in Hawaii. He was Director of Education at Remington College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Chih-Ling Chao of Aiea, HI.; one son, Eric Roberts of Atmore; one daughter, Stephanie Roberts (Walt) Maddox of Tuscaloosa; his father, Malcolm A. Roberts Sr. of Crossroads; two brothers, Kenneth Roberts of Mobile, and Richard Roberts of Bay Minette; one sister, Beverly Wasdin of Bay Minette; and two grandchildren, Christian Roberts and Taylor Maddox.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Mae Fleming Roberts.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Fleming officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Feb. 21, from 11 a.m. to the 1 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jim Roberts, Randy Fleming, Larry Tuberville, Brandon Roberts, Eddie Presley, Stan Aaron, L.D. Owen, III and Bill Roberts.
