"font-family:">Mildred Ida Carliles, 84, a resident and native of Summerdale, passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012.
"font-family:">Mrs. Carliles was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Emma Lassitter; brothers, Floyd Lassitter and Norman Lassitter; sister, Hazel Lassitter; daughter, Kathy Irene Carliles; and husband, Herbert Carliles.
"font-family:">She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Philyaw of Summerdale; four sisters, Luella (Charlie) Bishop of Fairhope, Eunice (Byron) Norberg of Robertsdale, Sandra (Bernard) Bixler of Foley and LaDonna (Walter) Peak of Summerdale; two brothers, Walter (Charlotte) Lassitter of Summerdale and John (Ann) Lassitter of Rosinton; sister-in-law, Laura Lassitter (late husband Floyd) of Summerdale; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
"font-family:">Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at 10 a.m., at Greenwood Covenant Church in Summerdale with burial in Wynn Cemetery.
"font-family:">A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 9 until 10 a.m.
