PENSACOLA, Fla. — May ends with a patriotic bang as the Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and downtown businesses honor local military with the inaugural Military Appreciation Month Street Festival on Sunday, May 24, from noon–5 p.m., in Plaza Ferdinand Park, downtown Pensacola.
The festival will feature arts and crafts, a children’s fun area, concerts and several other outdoor events and activities coordinated to recognize and celebrate local active duty military members, their spouses and dependents.
To recognize the outstanding men and women that serve our country, the Chamber will offer red, white and blue wristbands to active-duty military members and their dependents to be designated and honored. They will be available for free with military ID at the USO booth location.
Participating downtown businesses will also offer discounts to all active-duty military members and dependents.
And, the T. T. Wentworth Museum will be open during the festival for guests to tour for free, though donations are encouraged.
