Millard Amos "Donny" Nelson, age 79, a resident of Foley, Alabama, passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2016.
He was a homebuilder for 40 years.
Donny was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marguerite "Doots" Nelson; and his beloved English bulldog, Rosie.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Nancy Nelson of Foley, Alabama; one daughter, Deborah Nelson of Summerdale, Alabama; a son, Edward (Tina) Nelson of Sevierville, Tennessee; five step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Peggy Hesse of Elberta, Alabama; and other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Millard's life will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley, Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016 at 11 a.m.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
