George “Donnie” Miller, 64, a native of Magnolia Springs and a resident of Elberta, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009.
He completed two tours of duty in Vietnam. Among many medals that he received were the National Defense Service Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal.
Survivors include his wife, Iris Miller of Elberta; son, John Miller of Terrell, Texas; mother, Ozene Miller of Magnolia Springs; two brothers, Dwight Miller of Magnolia Springs and Robert E. (Carol) Miller of Missouri City, Texas; sister, Deborah J. (Jerry) Parks of Bon Secour; several nieces, nephews and family members of Magnolia Springs; brother-in-law, James (Laura) Gillespie and several other relatives in Scotland.
Visitation was held Wednesday, Oct. 7 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley. Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 8 at Vernant Park Baptist Church, Magnolia Springs.
