Dwayne H. Miller, 82, a native of Illinois and a resident of Foley, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2009.
He was a World War II veteran, having served in the Pacific. He worked as a postal inspector from 1955-1979, in Massachusetts, Iowa, St. Louis and Washington D.C. He retired as general manager in charge of the Audit Division of the U.S. Postal Service, Washington D.C. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, American Legion Post 99, Elks Lodge # 2782, and Abba Shrine. He attended St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Miller of Foley; daughter, Diana (Roy) Habighorst of St. Louis; son, Matthew Miller of Boston; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. with a memorial service at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Elberta.
Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Foley.
