Emelda Miller, 61, a resident of Benton, Maine, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 from injuries sustained in a tragic automobile accident which also took the lives of her beloved husband and daughter.

She was born June 9, 1946 in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Henry and Rita Litalien Boucher and was a graduate of Livermore Falls High School. Aug. 2, 1966, she married Charles H. Miller Jr. at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. She worked for the local shoe shop, the bakery and was a representative for Bristol-Myers Co. She had been a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Boucher.

Survivors include, her mother, Rita Boucher of St. Cloud, Fla.; a son, Dan (Amy) Miller of Hampden; son-in-law, Scott Carter of Alabama; five grandchildren; two brothers, Bernard (Jackie) Boucher of St. Cloud, Fla., and Paul (Claire) Boucher of Livermore Falls; two sisters, Bernice (Jay) Adams and Betty (George) Plaisted of Jay.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. Spring burial is planned at Holy Cross Cemetery, Livermore Falls.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the St. Rose of Lima Church Fund, Church Street, Jay, ME 04239.
