Charles H. Miller Jr., 64, a resident of Benton, Maine, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 from injuries sustained in a tragic automobile accident which also took the lives of his beloved wife and daughter.

He was born Jan. 20, 1944 in Weymouth, Mass., the son of Charles H. Sr. and Elizabeth Cummings Miller and attended school in Braintree, Mass. Aug. 2, 1966 he married Emelda Boucher at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. He worked as an instrument man at International Paper Company in Jay until 1987 when he went to work for Scott Paper Company in Winslow, and later transferred to Madison Paper Company in Madison, retiring in 2007. He had been a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay.

He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Henry Boucher.

Survivors include son, Dan (Amy) Miller; mother-in-law, Rita Boucher of St. Cloud, Fla.; son-in-law, Scott Carter of Alabama; five grandchildren; a brother, Robert Miller of Braintree, Mass.; two brothers-in-law, Bernard (Jackie) Boucher of St. Cloud, Fla., and Paul (Claire) Boucher of Livermore Falls; two sisters-in-law, Bernice (Will) Adams of Jay and Betty (George) Plaisted of Jay.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. Spring burial in Holy Cross Cemetery in Livermore Falls.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the St. Rose of Lima Church Fund, Church Street, Jay, ME 04239.
