Wilda Dukes Mitchell, 96, a native of Alabama and a resident of Foley, died Sunday, July 20, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David A. Mitchell, one grandson, Jeremy, five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include three children, JoAnn Wells of Foley, AL, Dudley (Verline) Mitchell of Theodore and Dorene (Joel) Vickers of Tibbie; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ethyl Windbigler of Foley; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Tuesday, July 2 at Calvary Baptist Church, Foley.
Services were held Wednesday, July 23 at the church, with the Rev. Virgil Payne officiating. Interment followed at Pine Rest Memorial Park, Foley.
Pallbearers were Gus Mitchell, Jase Vickers, Joey Vickers, Kyle Pellegrin, Matt Banks and Neil Banks.
Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Foley.
