Clyde Franklin Mitchell, 54, a native and long life resident of Fairhope, died Friday, April 18, 2008.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Essie W. Mitchell and father, Kermit Mitchell Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Eva K. Mitchell of Fairhope; two sons, Tobias, Nicholas and Justin Mitchell, both of Fairhope; daughter, Elexa Mitchell of Fairhope; eight brothers, Kermit Mitchell Jr. of Chicago, William (Dorothy) Mitchell of Point Clear, Alfredo (Leola) Mitchell of Mapleton, Ga., Larry (Ernestine) Mitchell of Kennesaw, Ga., Conrad (Denise) Mitchell of Foley, Craig Mitchell of Mobile, Michael (Diane) Mitchell Arlington Heights, Ill., and Laurice (Carolyn) Mitchell of Mobile; two sisters, Patricia Solan of Fairhope and Deborah Mitchell of Salt Lake City; father and mother-in-law, William and Alice Wagner of Mobile; brother-in-law, Mathaney Wagner; sister-in-law, Tessie (Richard) Williams; aunt, Lucretia Williams of Montecello, N.Y.; devoted friend, Lionell Bracy; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, at Twin Beech AME Zion Church, 6664 Twin Beech Road, Fairhope, with the Rev. Michael Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Twin Beech Cemetery.
