MONROEVILLE, Ala. — The Monroe County Heritage Museums present The Mockingbird Players, an all-local amateur theater group, in a two-act play based on the Pulitzer Prize-wining book by Monroeville native, Harper Lee.
“To Kill a Mockingbird” is performed annually in April and May at Monroeville’s Old Courthouse Museum, the same one in which Harper Lee’s father practiced law.
The first act is outdoors on the west lawn and the second act is upstairs in the awe-inspiring courtroom, familiar to anyone who has seen the film version of, “To Kill a Mockingbird.”
Tickets are now on sale, and there is no reserved seating, no refunds and no exchanges.

2009 Performance Schedule:
April 23, 24, 25, 26, 30; May 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 23.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances are at 7 p.m.; Sunday performances at 5 p.m.
All tickets are $35 per person, except May 16 and 23, which are $75 per person, and include a reception with the Mockingbird Players, following the performance.
