Evelyn Moorer, 79, born in Dyas, a resident of Bay Minette, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at her residence.

She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, L. Douglas Moorer; a granddaughter, Sarah Smith; one brother and two sisters. Survivors include three daughters, Jane Moorer of Bay Minette, Betsy Conoly of Newnan, Ga., and Tessie Rider of Bay Minette; five sisters, Viola Hadley of Rabun, Susie Mae Hadley of Bay Minette, Myrtle Cushion of Stockton, Nancy Daniels of Bay Minette and Jean Averitt of Pine Grove; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services and visitation were held Monday, Dec. 24 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Sister Helen Stewart officiating. Burial followed at Bay Minette Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Rob Taylor, Thomas Brown, Shane Moorer, Will Conoly, Wesley Rider and Marcus Bryant.
