Virginia M. Moran, 73, a native of Chicago and a resident of Fairhope, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008 at a local hospital.
She was a very devoted mother and grandmother.
She was a graduate of Marquette University and was a freelance writer and fundraiser during her career. She was active with the Baldwin Senior Travelors and love the Fairhope area.
Survivors include a son, Stephen Carl Hellman of St. Benedict, La.; two daughters, Kerry Ann (Nick) Watters of Chicago, and Amy Jeanne Hellman of Wildwood, Ill.; brother, James Francis (Mariagnes) Moran Jr. of The Villages, Fla.; three grandchildren, Kiersten, Maxwell and Mitchell.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
Vistitation will begin at 10 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Belforest Catholic Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Fairhope Public Cemetery.
