Hoyet Leslie “Pop” Morgan, 75, a resident of Gulf Shores, died Saturday, April 18, 2009, at a local hospital.
He was a native of Birmingham and a former resident of Texas. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a retired sheet metal worker.
Survivors include three sons, Steve (Melanie) Morgan of Atlanta, Don (Cary) Morgan of Frisco, Texas, and David (Becky) Morgan of Gulf Shores; daughter, Lois Kuhn of Santa Fe, N.M.; three brothers, Lloyd (Linda) Morgan of Gardendale, Charles Morgan and Mert Morgan, both of Birmingham; three sisters, Geraldine (Melvin) McLaughlin of Warner Robins, Ga.; Mary Morgan-Smith of Washington, D.C., and Lorene Alloway of Tampa, Fla.; five grandchildren, Danyale, Miles, Diana, Cameron and Matthew, many other nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 23 at Christian Life Church in Orange Beach.
Cremation arrangements are by Hughes Cremation & Funeral Service, Daphne.
