Alvia Eugene “Gene” Morris Jr., a life long resident of Foley, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008.

He was the owner and operator of Precision Pest Control Inc. He was a member of St. Margaret Of Scotland Catholic Church. He loved the outdoors, and was the best mullet fisherman south of the Mason Dixon line. He was beloved by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Krauss of Elberta, and Joe Alvia Morris of Foley.

Survivors include his wife, Denise Baschab Morris; son, Joseph Abel Morris; parents, Alvia Eugene Morris Sr. and Patricia Ann Morris of Foley; grandmother, Arvie Mae Wood of Foley; sisters, Tina Kliemisch of Summerdale and Amy Morris Malone of Silverhill; nephew, Aaron Kliemisch; his dogs, Taco and Petie; other relatives and friends.

A gathering of family and friends was held Tuesday, Sept. 2 at in the Parish Hall at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. Rosary was recited.

A Mass was celebrated Wednesday, Sept. 3 at St. Margaret Of Scotland Catholic Church.

The family requests memorial donations be made to The Haven, a no-kill animal shelter, 559 Section St. So., Fairhope, AL, 36532.
