John R. Moseley, 78, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2007 at his home. He was born in Uniontown and a member of Providence Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John T. Moseley and Bernice Proctor Moseley and a grandson, Anthony Moseley.
Survivors include: his wife of 57 years, Violet Faye "Polly" Hayes Moseley of Gallion; daughter, Donna Faye (Scott) Barkley of Orange Beach; son, Johnny R. Moseley of Fairhope; seven grandchildren, Brandi Barkley, Natalie Barkley, John Moseley III, April Morley, Lacey Carol, Meredith Moseley and Vince Moseley; three great-grandchildren, Madalyn Morley, Ava Morley and Olivia Morley; and sister, Betty M.(Ted) Dunn of Gallion.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 5 at Providence Baptist Church with Fred Freeman officiating. Burial followed at the adjoining cemetery.
Pallbearers were, Thomas Boggs, John Northcutt, Jerry Ray, Gaines Vick, Arthur Dixon and Wenzell Boozer.
Arrangements were made by Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors, Demopolis.
