Helen Frazer Mosley, born Sept. 6, 1913, a resident of Fairhope since 1996, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009 at her home in Fairhope.

She was born in Furman, the daughter of Methodist minister Dr. George Stanley Frazer and Mary Elizabeth Williams Frazer.

Her father was the founder of Saint James United Methodist Church in Montgomery and Ashland Place United Methodist Church in Mobile. She was the granddaughter of Methodist minister John Stanley Frazer for whom Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church is named. She married Henry David Mosley in 1936 and the couple made their home in Montgomery.

She was a graduate of Florida State University and was a popular teacher at Saint James School in Montgomery, which was founded by her father, for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry David Mosley, and siblings, John Stanley Frazer, Martha Frazer Rankin and Katherine Frazer Hudson.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Stanley Mansour; three granddaughters Robin, Laura and Amina; and two great-grandsons.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Saint James United Methodist Church general fund, or the Saint James United Methodist Lurleen B. Wallace Sunday School Class, Montgomery.
