J.C. Mosley, 73, a native and resident of Stapleton, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007 at Mobile Infirmary Center in Mobile.
He was a retired Financial Planner with Ozark National Life Insurance Company. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a retired Chief with the U.S. Navy Reserve and was a member of Bay Minette Masonic Lodge No.498, F&AM.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse W. Mosley.
Survivors include his wife, Isabelle Howard Mosley of Stapleton; son, Boyce W. Mosley of Stapleton; daughter, Crystal (Bill) Menas of Spanish Fort; two grandsons, Will Menas and Christopher Menas; his mother, Emma Mosley of Stapleton; four brothers, Marion Mosley of Crossroads, Freddie (Elaine) Mosley, Tony (Marilyn) Mosley and Elder George (Eleanor) Mosley, all of Stapleton; and five sisters, Janice (Herbert) Humphrey of Stapleton, Brenda (Donald) Wilson of Loxley, Velma Davis (Charlie Wrape) of Elberta, Nita (Sam) Robberson and Elvira (Sammy) Ridgeway, both of Fairhope.
Funeral services wer eheld Thursday, Nov. 8 at the Stapleton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ron Hill and the Rev. Bob Sweet officiating. Burial followed at Galilee Primitive Baptist Cemetery. Military honors were rendered by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard and a Masonic service was conducted by Bay Minette Lodge No. 498 F&AM.
Active pallbearers were, Sammy Ridgeway, Kendall Gordon, Major Jose, Billy Menas, Buddy Russell, Eric Mosley, Aubrey Mosley and Jerry Glaze. Honorary pallbearers were Carl Holland, Nick Menas, Hugh Wyatt, Rick Wyatt, Wayne Phillips, Richard Gaines and Hubert Humphrey.
