ORANGE BEACH, AL - Nicholas Martin Davis , 19, of Orange Beach died after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle on beach road in Orange Beach on Jan. 22.

Paramedics were called out the scene in front of Walmart in Orange Beach about 2:46 on Jan. 22 where it appeared Davis slammed into the side of an white SUV.

According to fire officials Davis was unconscious when first responders arrived on the scene and never regained conscious during the time they were treating him.

Davis was taken by LifeFlight to Sacred Heart Hospital where he later died. Initially the helicopter made two attempts to land on beach road where emergency vehicles had the road blocked off, but it later landed in front of Orange Beach Fire Station 1 on Alabama 161.

"They had to move to another location to land because of the wind," Battalion Chief Chance Ard said.

On Saturday morning, Jan. 23, police officials confirmed Davis had died of his injuries.
