Michael Larry “Little Larry” Moye II, 33, of Summerdale, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at USA Medical Center in Mobile.
He was known as little Larry to all who knew and loved him, friends and family alike.
He was a life scout, a deep sea diver and welder. He loved out doors. As a child he played in trees and as a n adult his love of tree tops led him to a career in tree service.
He was a man who loved his family. He was a person that touched so many lives with his compassion and kindness in business and friendships.
He loved life and lived it to the fullest. His accidental death was not wasted as four other lives were saved through organ donation. It comforts his family to know that he will live on through the recipients.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Oscar William Moye, Mary Alice Moye, Adam Edward Lenton and Eddied Edith Lenton.
Survivors include his parents Michael Larry Moye I and Mary Alice Lenton Moye; his wife Tammy Lynn McClantoc Moye; three daughters Danielle, Kaitlyn and Michaela Moye; two sisters Sharon (Tim) Boutwell, Teri (Brad) Jemison; and five nieces Brooke Atkins, Erin “Butterbean” Moye, Brianna Boutwell, Mary’Laine Moye-Jemison and Morgan Jemison.
Visitation was held Sunday, April 11 at Pine Rest Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 12 at Foley Apostolic Church. Burial will follow at Pleasantview Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Larry Moye II Memorial fund at Visions Bank.
