Mr. Donald Jared Watler, age 69, a native of Mobile and longtime resident of Foley, Alabama, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Donald was the son of the late Joseph J. and Helen (Thompson) Watler.
Mr. Watler was an Army veteran. He also was a past president of the Foley Optimists, Foley Quarterback Club and a member of First Baptist Church of Foley.
Mr. Donald J. Watler is survived by his loving wife, Peggy (Reynolds) Watler; one daughter, Paige Lankford (Billy); two grandsons, Drew and Ryan Lankford; two sisters, Anita Winn and Sandra Helton; brother-in-law, Johnny Reynolds; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Donald Watler will be Monday, July 3, 2017 starting at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Rest Funeral Home.
Visitation for Mr. Watler will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
Burial will be in Pine Rest Memorial Park immediately following the chapel service.
The Watler family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the USA Mitchell Cancer Institute, 300 Alumni Circle, Mobile, AL 36688.
