Mr. James Elwood “Bub” Stewart Sr., 82, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2015 in Rabun, Ala.
Mr. Stewart was a native of Bay Minette, Ala. and a resident of Rabun, Ala. for most of his life.
Mr. Stewart was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Vision Ministries Church of God.
His daughter, Gail Gill; and a sister, Evie Carson preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Stewart of Rabun, Ala.; one son, James Stewart Jr. of Rabun, Ala.; two daughters, Pamela Wade of Rabun, Ala. and Lawana Faye Haver of Phillipsville, Ala.; three brothers, Jasper Stewart of Rabun, Ala., Felton Stewart of Greenville, Ala. and Carl Stewart of Rabun, Ala.; one sister, Rochelle White of Rabun, Ala.; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at 10 a.m., at the Vision Ministries Church of God, with Rev. Alan Blackmon and Rev. Steve Sexton officiating.
Burial will follow at the New Life Baptist Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 16, 2015, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Vision Ministries Church of God.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
