Mr. Roger Billy Fowler, age 76, of McDonough, Georgia, passed away Aug. 23, 2017.
Roger was born in Stapleton, Alabama, the son of the late Martha Jane Mosley Fowler and Willie Lloyd Fowler. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Lloyd Fowler and Donald Ray Fowler; and an infant daughter at birth.
Roger enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing and being an avid Alabama football fan. He was inducted into the Baldwin County High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors are his wife of 30 years, Sandra Westbrook Fowler of McDonough; daughter, Tammie Fowler Smith of McDonough; son, Roger "Bill" Fowler (Janet) of Portland, Tennessee; stepdaughters, Tammy Hawkins (Randy) of Winder and Candy Quinn (Micah) of Hampton; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Ricky Joe Fowler (Kerri) of Stapleton, Alabama; sisters, Joan Wilson of Stapleton, Alabama, Faye Trawick (Leon) of Stapleton, Alabama and Ardis Bushard of Bay Minette, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, from 6-8 p.m.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
