Mrs. Evelyn Holk Koehler, 85, of Magnolia Springs, Ala., died Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Agape Health & Rehabilitation of Moultrie, Ga.

Born Aug. 8, 1929 in Chicago, Ill. to the late Harold and Johnnie Taylor Holk, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Brad Smith, who died in 2007.

Mrs. Koehler was a retired optometrist assistant.

She was a member of Foley United Methodist Church in Foley, Ala.

Famous for her chocolate chip cookies, Mrs. Koehler loved to cross-stitch and entertain, especially at Christmas. She also enjoyed all water activities, especially swimming and boating.

Married on Sept. 11, 1948, she and her husband, Charles G. “Bud” Koehler of Magnolia Springs, Ala. were married for 66 years.

She is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Cheryl Koehler of Tifton and Henry and Debbie Koehler of Elberta, Ala.; one daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Jim Fullton of Easton, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to donor’s charity of choice.
