Mrs. Faye Juanita Gideons Catrett, 83, born in Foley June 10, 1929 and a resident of the Cottage Hill community of Bay Minette, died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center in Mobile, Alabama.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, George E. “Jabo” Catrett of Cottage Hill; three sons, George Michael (Thelma) Catrett, White House Fork; Craig Catrett, Atlanta, Ga. and Thomas Kane (Opal) Catrett of Bay Minette; daughter, Judy Mathis, Corinth, Miss.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, April 28, 2013, from 1:30 until 3:30 p.m., at the Cottage Hill Presbyterian Church in Stockton, with Sister Helen Stewart officiating. The service will begin at 1:30.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105, or to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
