Mrs. Vera Draughn went home to be with her Lord in heaven on Oct. 20, 2015 at the age of 89. She fought a long battle with Alzheimer’s at her residence in Magnolia Springs, Ala.
She was a longtime Avon sales representative, earning many awards, including Presidents Club, Honor Society and Miss Albee awards.
Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar W. Draughn; and son, William Draughn.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary E. Squires, Carolyn Avera, Arlene (Bob) Cain; grandchildren, Ken (Wendy) Styron, Richard Avera Jr., Debbie (Chip) Brown, Wesley (Melissa) Hubbart, Bryant Hubbart, Terry Hubbart, Michael McClantoc, Christina (Billy) Flynn; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and step-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Draughn will be Monday, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. at the Magnolia Springs Baptist Church.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Graveside service will be at Memorial Gardens in Mobile at 2 p.m.
