Mrs. Rose Taylor Williams, after battling a long illness, passed away on the morning of Aug. 26, 2015.

Mrs. Williams was born Aug. 15, 1926 in Pine Grove, Ala. to the parents, Ellen and Perry Taylor.

As a resident of Orange Beach, she was one of the founders of the City of Orange Beach and served on the first City Council of the newly formed government body.

Mrs. Williams was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pine Grove, the First Baptist Church of Orange Beach and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was the author of the novel “Beyond Safari.”

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her son, James Perry Williams.

She is survived by her spouse, Hollis W Williams; daughter, Holly Rose Williams; son, Hollis L. Williams; and daughter-in-law, Katherine C Williams.

There was a time of visitation for Ms. Rose Taylor Williams on Monday, Aug. 31, 2015 at Pine Rest Funeral Home, followed by funeral services in the Pine Rest Funeral Home chapel.

Burial followed immediately in Pine Rest Memorial Park.

Instead of flowers, the family would prefer a donation to ARC-Baldwin County, P.O. Box 400, Loxley AL 36551.
