GULF SHORES, Ala. — She wants to sell shoes to people who don’t wear them; he’s on the run from mobsters that include his brother; he just wants to take a nap and she wants to nab a plum State Department job in Panama.
Those are just a few of the quirky characters that inhabit the fictitious Latin American island of El Cansado in the South Baldwin Community Theatre production of “Shoes Blues” by Burton Bumgarner.
Join these characters and more for a trip to the tropics you’ll not soon forget.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $7 for students and $3 for preschoolers.
