PENSACOLA, Fla. — A feature presentation by Russell Romanella, director of the International Space Station and Spacecraft Processing Directorate at John F. Kennedy Space Center, Fla., will highlight the Blast Off! Space Day event July 18, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m., at the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola.
Additional free activities include hands-on exhibits from the Marshall and Johnson Space Center, paper rocket making and a launch contest, photo opportunities in an authentic spacesuit, and sampling the always-popular astronaut ice cream.
All activities will take place in the Blue Angels atrium.
Blast Off! Space Day is free and open to the public. More fun can be had at the museum exploring more than 150 vintage aircraft, testing your skills in the Top Gun Air Combat simulators, riding in the motion-based simulator, dining in the Cubi Bar Café or with the ultimate movie experience in the IMAX theater showing four films daily.
