Myrna McGill Alawine, age 68, a lifelong resident of Fairhope, Ala., passed away Saturday, Sept. 19 at home with her devoted son, Dale Turberville, by her side.
Ms. Alawine was a graduate of Fairhope High School Class of 1964.
Ms. Alawine was preceded in death by the love of her life, Michael Polk.
She is survived by her son, Dale Turberville (Donna) of Fairhope, Ala.; one brother, Ruben Edward “Sonny” McGill of Fairhope; two grandchildren, Dale Turberville Jr. and Jasmine Turberville; a cousin, Linda Griffin of Fairhope, Ala.
Funeral service for Ms. Myrna Alawine will be held Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Pine Rest Funeral Home chapel, with visitation one hour prior.
Burial will follow immediately after funeral service in Pine Rest Memorial Park.
The family would like to give Jim Hadder with Mercy Medical a special thanks for the amazing care he gave to Ms. Alawine during her illness.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society, or to a charity of your choice.
