BAY MINETTE, Ala. — The Mystic Revelers and Shriners Local Chapter are supporting the first annual Mystic Revelers Ride for Kids Event on Saturday, with fun and activities throughout the day to support the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

The Shriners Hospitals for Children have been providing state-of-the-art care for more than 80 years. Shriners Hospitals’ contributions to the medical community not only benefit their patients, but contribute to the overall knowledge for the care and treatment for a wide range of pediatric and adult conditions.

Shriners Hospitals for Children is a network of 22 pediatric hospitals in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico providing specialized care for orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate provided at no charge. Eligibility is not based upon financial needs, or relationship to a Shriner.

When faced with choosing a specialized medical care facility, parents want the highest quality care and the most respected pediatric specialists for their children.

The Shriners Hospitals for Children approach treatment in a family centered environment, believing that the family plays a vital role in a child’s ability to overcome an illness or injury. Shriners Hospitals helps the family provide the support the child needs by involving the family in all aspects of care and recovery. The objective is to provide care for its children so o they can lead fuller, more productive lives.

Since the Shriners Hospitals for Children do not rely on third party funding by insurance providers or governmental agencies, they are able to provide high-quality care without the barriers of insurance industry processes and policies without any delays..

The Shriners Local Chapter selected J.J. Austin as its Bike Rally poster child. Donations and proceeds from the event sponsored by the Mystic Revelers, Chuck Stevens Automotive, and AIG Insurance will be donated to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
