James Michael Nance Sr. of Elberta died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008.
He was born on July 22, 1927 in Birmingham. He retired from the U.S. Air Force and later from Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Gulf Shores.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Esther Nance; two daughters, a son, three grandsons, two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services and visitation were held Wednesday, Jan. 30 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley, with Pastor Michael Bonham officiating. Interment followed at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Foley.
