Nancy Christina Morris of Daphne, Alabama died on Feb. 3, 2017 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Alabama.

Born in 1938 in Canastota, New York to Michael A. and Sarah Sykes Becker, she graduated from Canastota High School and attended Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

After her marriage in 1958 to James M. Morris, she and their family moved from Michigan to West Virginia, Ohio, Rhode Island and Virginia before retiring to Daphne in 2006.

She received a B.A. degree from Christopher Newport University in 1979 and a M.A. in Humanities from Old Dominion University in 1985.

She was employed in the hospitality industry, holding positions at the James River Country Club in Newport News, Virginia and Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia until her retirement in 2005.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dr. James M. Morris; four sons, Patrick (Tammy) of Verona, Virginia, Michael (Teresa) of San Antonio, Texas, John (Sondra) of Cordova, Tennessee and Joseph (Carole) of Irving, Texas; two daughters, Anne Christensen (Mark) of Andalusia, Alabama and Mary Jane Hochderffer (Gregg) of Jefferson, South Dakota; and 34 grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Michael Becker of Southampton Station, Pennsylvania and Stephen Becker of Oneida, New York; and one sister, Susan Spencer, also of Oneida, New York.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, from 6-8 p.m., at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, 27409 U.S. Hwy. 98, Daphne, AL 36526.

A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne, Alabama.

Interment will follow at Belforest Catholic Cemetery, Daphne, Alabama.
