Nancy Kathryn Bowman, 85, of Fairhope, Ala., went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 23, 2015.
Nancy was a graduate of Trenton State University in New Jersey and became an elementary school teacher for 21 years in Milltown, N.J. and served as president of her teacher’s association.
After leaving teaching, she spent a number of years in real estate sales and leasing in Ft. Mill, S.C. Using her gift at the piano, she ministered at various churches, women’s conferences, Aglow meetings and wherever the Lord brought her.
All who knew her, loved her and she will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ray Forney and John Forney; and her sisters, Mildred Lehman, Anna Mary Dubble and Jean Davidson.
Surviving are her son, Daniel Bowman, Fairhope, Ala.; two daughters, Kay (Lynn) Jones, Fairhope, and Barbara (Jerry) Traynham, Raleigh, N.C.; two sisters, Dorothy Rice, Elizabethtown, Pa., and Ella Mae Fike, Bridgewater, Va.; two grandchildren, Bethany Canales Albidrez, Springdale, Ark., and Jeremy Bowman, Fayetteville, Ark.; and one great-granddaughter, Jiselia Canales.
A visitation celebrating Nancy’s life will be held from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Hughes Funeral Home in Daphne. Funeral services will be private.
