National Night Out in Gulf Shores on Oct. 2

GULF SHORES — National night out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and encourage participation in local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighbors are fighting back.

The Gulf Shores Police Department and Target would like to invite you to participate in this year’s National Night Out event on Oct. 2.

This free event will be at Pelican Place Mall next to Target located at 3800 Gulf Shores Parkway from 6-8 p.m.

Some of the festivities include:

Free food sponsored by Target.

Free fingerprints for children as part of a family safety plan.

Displays of the Gulf Shores Police Mobile Command and Beach Patrol UTV’s.

GSPD K-9 Unit demo

SWAT demo featuring the South Baldwin SRT Team.

Alabama State Trooper Aviation Unit

Gulf Shores Fire/Rescue Fire Engine, Ladder Truck, and Ambulance

Orange Beach Fire/Rescue Pink Fire Engine.

Crime Prevention & Drug Awareness handouts

Door Prizes
