Neighborhood meeting set Nov. 21 for beach area residents

Posted

GULF SHORES, Ala. — The Gulf Shores Mayor and City Council will hold the fifth in a series of six neighborhood meetings on Nov. 21.

The purpose of this meeting is to allow residents living in the East Beach, West Beach, and surrounding residential “beach area” to meet with their city officials.

The council wants to hear what residents would like to see the city do more of, or less of, in the designated area. Different neighborhoods have different needs so meetings have been held in various locations during the past several months.

The council also wants to receive citizen input on a city infrastructure master plan that will serve as the guide as we work on our community’s future.

Citizen input is vital to making Gulf Shores a more vibrant, attractive community for permanent residents and year round tourists alike.

The meeting will take place on Saturday at 9 a.m. at City Hall in the Council Chambers, 1905 West 1st Street.

All residents in the East Beach, West Beach, and surrounding residential “beach area” are asked to attend this meeting.

There will be one additional neighborhood meeting on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 9 a.m. for Fort Morgan, The Ridge, and Peninsula at St. Andrews By The Sea Church.

A separate citywide meeting with local businesses will also be held at a later date.
