Neil Robert Greiner, 64, a native of Webster City, Iowa and resident of Fairhope, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013.

He is survived by his mother, Eleanor Greiner of Fairhope; two sons, Robert M. Greiner of Florida and Carey N. Greiner of South Carolina; one daughter, Deanna Bobrorowski; one brother, Dr. Dale Greiner (Leslie) of Massachusetts, one sister, Anne (Mike) Gelsie of Fairhope; one stepson, Beau Cadien; and one stepdaughter, Michelle Rodriguez, both of Virginia; three grandsons; one granddaughter; nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Evie Mohler.

Neil grew up and graduated from high school in Webster City, Iowa. He then earned a BA from Buena Vista College in Iowa.

His career path demonstrated his many talents and abilities. His work included being a middle school coach and teacher, where his basketball team went 22-0, and a manager of restaurants for Wendy’s and KFC as well as Kroger delis.

His last position was a state food inspector for Florida, and he retired from that position.

He had a love of pugs, hunting, fishing, sports and yard sales. He was especially good at restoring and refinishing furniture.

Neil never met a stranger, and once he met a person, he always remembered and used his or her name.

The family will receive friends at Belforest Christian Church on Monday,  April 22, 2013, from 1–2 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2.

Interment will be at Belforest Community Cemetery.
