Neita Aleane Smith, 79, a native and resident of the White House Fork community of Bay Minette, died Saturday, April 23, 2011 in her home, surrounded by family.
She was the secretary at White House Fork Pentecostal Holiness Church for 35 years. Her dedicated service to her family, church, community and most of all, to God, will forever be remembered by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Fred “Ted” Wallace, mother, Willie Rider Wallace; sister, Mary Willie Wallace Wright; and great-grandson, James Morgan Daniel
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Tommie Smith; four children, Terrell (Nancy) Smith of Bay Minette, Rhonda (Tom) Davidson of Gulf Shores, Todd (Rhonda) Smith of Anniston and Michelle Smith- Susan Wells of Lillian; 11 grandchildren, Tara Smith (Jimbo) Daniel, Curt Smith, Matt (Trenace) Smith, Ben Smith, Brad Smith, Jason Smith, Clay Smith, T.J. Davidson IV, Bethany Davidson, Melissa (Jeremy) Sutton and Kayse Smith; eight great-grandchildren, Jack Daniel, John David Daniel, Grace Smith, Caleb Smith, Austyn Smith, Haven Aleane Smith, Hagen Sutton and Easton Sutton.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 25 at White House Fork Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Leon Stewart and the Rev. Fred Stallworth officiating. Burial followed at White House Fork Community Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Curt Smith, Matt Smith, Ben Smith, Brad Smith, Jason Smith, Clay Smith, T.J. Davidson IV and Rodney Wright.
