Nelda Rice, 59, passed away on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013 in Pensacola.

Mrs. Rice was a native of Perdido, former resident of Century, Fla. and has resided in Walnut Hill, Fla. for the past 12 years.

She was a member in the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and attended the Pinebarren Baptist Church.

Her father, Douglas Smith, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her mother, Lavonah Pauline Smith of Bay Minette; husband, R.C. Rice of Walnut Hill, Fla.; one son, Timothy Cunningham of Pensacola; one stepson, Robert Charles Rice of Mississippi; two daughters, Wendy (Christopher) Jackson of Pensacola and April Johnson of Atmore; one stepdaughter, Laura Rodriquez of North Carolina; one brother, Tony Smith of Bay Minette; one sister, Corrine Parrack of Bay Minette; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at 10 a.m., at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Harper, the Rev. Robert Barrow and the Rev. J.P. Lambert officiating.

Burial will follow at the Pinebarren Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Peterson, Mickey Peterson, Michael Dermous, Scotty Smith, Eric Smith and Timothy Cunningham.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Jackson and Clifton Dixon.
