Robert Edward “Tunk” Nelson, 83, a native of Alabama and a resident of Bon Secour, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007 at his residence.
He was a longtime Fisherman in the Bon Secour area.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Bell Nelson, his mother, Rosie Ewing and sister, Rosalee Jones.
Survivors include two sons, James and Eddie Nelson; three daughters, Jeanette Maklary, Barbara Bender and JoAnn Henderson; three brothers, Norman Nelson, John William Nelson and Michael Ewing; sister, Annie Mae Harrison; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7 from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Harry Mund officiating. Interment will follow at Witt Cemetery, Bon Secour.
