Miss Jennifer Lynn Nelson of Spanish Fort and Dr. Thomas Grove Tobin, also of Spanish Fort, together with their families, would like to announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
Miss Nelson received her bachelor's, master's and educational specialist degrees from the University of South Alabama where she was selected outstanding graduate student in the educational administration department. She was a member of the Dogwood Trail Court and was Miss USS Drum for USS Alabama Battleship Commission. She is employed with the Baldwin County School System.
Dr. Tobin received his bachelor's degree from Wheaton College and his master's and doctorate degrees from Purdue University in chemical engineering. He has served on the Spanish Fort Water Board for 10 years and also serves on the executive board of the Technical Association of Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI). He is employed with Boise Paper Company and a published author.
The couple will wed August 15, 2015 at 6 p.m. at Eastern Shore Baptist Church.
