DAPHNE, Ala.— After 92 days working on the roadwork projects in Lake Forest, the contractors are still on schedule and have already accomplished a great deal of the roadwork slated for the project.
The completed aspects of the project include the installation of new rolled valley gutter and curb on Bay View Drive, completion of the inlet throats, boxes and tops on Ridgewood Drive, mountable curbing at medians on Ridgewood Drive south of Lawson Road and driveway installation on new curb frontage.
Median islands are expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
In the upcoming week, property owners with property a half-mile north and south of the intersection of Lawson Road and Ridgewood Drive, between 121 and 155 Bayview Drive and at 100 Lakeview Loop, Milburn Circle and Pineview Circle, can expect road work.
In the upcoming week, contractors expect the final asphalt wearing to be completed on Ridgewood Drive north and south of Lawson Road. Valley and gutter curbing will begin at the U.S. Highway 90 entrance on Bayview Drive and continue south in 400-foot increments. All curbing should also be completed on Bay View Drive.
Curbing, drainage and tree-removal work will continue.
Lake Forest residents can continue to expect traffic delays because of construction during working hours. Flaggers will be placed along the affected areas to direct traffic.
