Daisy Phillips Newton, born Aug. 21, 1920, died May 29, 2009 in San Diego.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Newton.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol (David) Mitchell of San Diego, and Jann (John) McIntosh of Sacramento; brother, Clarence P. Phillips of Summerdale; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 4 at Capital City Baptist Church in Sacramento.
